Mary Bagwell met with Gina Moore, South West Regional Representative of the Fishermen’s Mission at Sidmouth Trawlers Fish Shop to present her with a second cheque for almost £1400. The money was raised from sales of the book ‘All I Ever Wanted’ the story of Sidmouth fisherman Stan Bagwell which has now raised over £3500 for the charity. Also celebrating this great achievement were Mark Chapman from Paragon Books where the book is available and Christine Hardy who compiled and edited Stan’s own words.

1400 raised

Stan Bagwell is becoming a local celebrity as he was recently featured in a episode of the popular TV programme ‘Holiday of a Lifetime’ and appeared at Ladram Bay with Len Goodman and Valerie Singleton. Stan is thrilled with the continuing success of his book, ‘People stop me in the street and say, ‘You’re the fisherman in that book, aren’t you?’ Its wonderful to be able to give something back to the Fishermen’s Mission who have helped me and thousands of other fishermen in times of great need. All I Ever Wanted is available from Paragon Books, The Lantern Shop, Sidmouth Museum, on the Fishermen’s Mission eBay page or contact us to purchase on 01489 566910.
