Happy 10th Birthday Pommery Dorset Seafood Festival!

We may be 10 years old but we’re still warmly welcoming thousands of enthusiastic visitors to our atmospheric seafood and champagne extravaganza, with plenty of new and exciting experiences for you and your family to engage with this year.

Free to attend, the 10th Pommery Dorset Seafood Festival takes place once again around Weymouth’s famous historic harbour-side on 8th & 9th July 2017 offering champagne and seafood, family entertainment and a great opportunity to gain a better understanding of the superb seafood available to us just off our wonderful shores.

Firstly, a huge birthday thank you to our amazing sponsors who help to make this event happen: Pommery Champagne, Fisher & Paykel, Seafish, Hall & Woodhouse, Weird Fish, Volvo Cars and Dream Cottages.

Here’s a snapshot of what to expect this year

Taste fresh seafood dishes from nearly 100 stalls around the beautiful harbour, or simply relax with a bottle of Pommery Champagne.

Be entertained by two different line ups of national chefs as well as our much loved local seafood heroes on two main stages this year thanks to Fisher & Paykel and Seafish.

The popular Social Kitchen returns, offering you the chance to sit down and taste seafood you’ve never tried before or your family can learn how to fillet a fish with some great BBQ tips in the Broil King ‘How To’ Zone.

NEW! This year, we are pushing the boat out in celebration with brand new attractions including Fishy Tales – the first live and interactive celebrity seafood discussion panel, entertainment for all the family with Kermiz by Le Cirque du Platzak and the opportunity to hop on board HMS Severn, a large Royal Navy off shore patrol vessel.

Whether you’re just happy to wander, sampling and enjoying great food and local produce, sipping Pommery watching the boats go by or even splashing out on a Volvo or for the more budget conscious – a Weird Fish fleece – we know you’re going to have a great time.

With the emphasis on responsibly sourced seafood from the region where possible, the Pommery Dorset Seafood Festival helps raise money for the Fishermen’s Mission charity.

Travel to Weymouth is easy via South West Trains or park and ride at the Mount Pleasant car park just out of town.
