In the small village of Borgue in Dumfries and Galloway, new innkeepers, Michelle, Martin and Luke Thomson, have raised an amazing £1421.01 in their first year at the Borgue Hotel. Borgue consists of one Inn, a church, a Community Centre several dwellings at the cross roads and scattered farmhouses. From such a small population the figure above is absolutely amazing, as is Martin and Michelle’s generosity.  Michelle & Martin BorgueOn the first anniversary of opening the Borgue Hotel, strictly speaking an Inn, they invited the community to a barbecue. They made no charge, but asked people to put in a donation for the Fishermen’s Mission. Having enjoyed pork roast, burgers, hot dogs and various accompaniments a sum of £282.05 was raised to start off their fundraising for the coming year.
