Unveiling of Fishermen’s Memorial

Superintendent Peter Dade will be conducting the Blessing of the memorial– Fiddler’s Green at 12.40, and North Shields Fishermen’s Mission will also be represented in parade, which also includes many of the Retired and Active Fishermen of North Shields as well as Tynemouth RNLI Lifeboat Crew.

The memorial is being unveiled by Julie Myhill , fiancé of  the late James Noble, skipper Ocean Way FR, and Mrs. Norma Redfearn, Elected Mayor of North Tyneside.

A large crowd is anticipated with local and national media present.

Retired Fishermen are expected to make the journey from Hull and other areas.

The North Shields Fishermen’s Mission will be open from 2pm-4pm.
