Nathan’s philosophy has always been to source great ingredients, so he has gone out to sea and understands the life of a fisherman. When there are incidents, huge storms or challenging times, Nathan wants to know what we are doing to support fishing families. His supportive family and wonderful team have told our story to thousands of their customers, and they have responded with generous donations. An Alaskan staple in the commercial fishing industry, XTRATUF® commercial boots have launched in the UK and have partnered with The Fishermen’s Mission. XtraTuf are very proud to show their support to the fishermen who risk their lives to bring fish to our shores, by donating from each pair of their Commercial Range boots sold.

English’s of Brighton
Blending modern and traditional seafood dishes in the heart of historic Brighton, English’s have supported us for over seven years by adding a 50p donation to their Sussex Ale Battered Fish & Chips, raising over £14,000 for the charity.

Seafood and Eat It
A family-run business that has supported us for a number of years by donating much appreciated food hampers for our clients at Christmas.

FishWorks
A partner for over eight years, delivering dishes from the morning’s catch and donating £1.00 from each Classic Seafood Bouillabaisse sold from their London restaurants, raising £41,000 to support the charity.

Whitby Seafoods Ltd
The home of Scampi – Whitby Seafoods has been part of our family for over 15 years and has raised much-needed support through marathons, cycle rides and so much more.

Henry Colbeck
A family-run business supplying the fish and chip industry for 130 years with items from frying oils and fats to Frozen-at-Sea cod and haddock. Henry Colbeck partners with the charity on various projects throughout each year, offering support such as bespoke calendars for their client base.

Jim Portus
Formerly one of our Trustees, Jim is a great marathon runner and has been our supporter and friend for many years. He is always ready to help us and promote our work.

The Hana Group
Partnering with the charity since 2021, the Hana Group have raised £10,000 through a bespoke sushi box sold for a limited time each year.

National Federation of Fish Friers
The NFFF is the official body that represents the fish and chip industry, protecting the interests of fish friers and their businesses while promoting the fish and chip brand. In turn, the business has been our longstanding supporter and partner for over 23 years.

A long-time friend and partner with a national “Fish Friday” fundraising initiative each year, raising awareness and £225,000 for the charity.

Serving a slice of coastal life to the city, Fish Market has worked with us since 2022 and donate through a £1.00 donation on their “Fresh off the boat” menu section.

SeaFeast
Dorset Seafood Festival
Charity partners for over 14 years, the Dorset Seafood Festival has raised almost £90,000 in support of the Fishermen’s Mission during this time. Held in Weymouth every year, the event plays host to seafood cookery demonstrations, live music, and more.

Sophie Thompson
Star of the stage and screen and lover of seafood, Sophie has become a firm friend of the charity and has lent her support to various fundraising initiatives, social media campaigns and has even rolled up her sleeves and helped cook a gourmet fish supper!

Sue MacKenzie
Sue is the Vice President of National Federation of Fishmongers, owner of The Fish Shop (Passionate about Fish) in Camberley, and strong ambassador for the industry. Sue and her team have been staunch friends and supporters for many years.

Jude Kereama
As a well-known and highly respected Cornwall chef, Jude has been the lead in organising fundraising events as well as promoting our work through social media posts.

Respected Cornish artist, Caroline donated works to feature in auctions and calendars, and she is also a wonderful volunteer for our Cornwall team.

The Fisherman’s Friends
The world famous and much-loved shanty singers have played such an important part in supporting us in our work, especially in and around Port Isaac in Cornwall and have given many wonderful performances in our honour.

Emma McKeating
Over the years, Emma has fully immersed herself in the fishmonger industry and is a very recognisable and respected character. Emma is an incredible ambassador for us, and continues to constantly raise money and awareness.

Cobweb Inn Crew & Boscastle Shanty
Cobweb Inn Crew and Boscastle Shanty hold wonderful evenings full of friendship and shanty songs with a collection bucket for the Fishermen’s Mission front and centre!

Graham Young
For the past three years, Graham has given his valuable time and expertise in helping to design our very successful calendars. Contributing bespoke images along with occasional recipes, Graham is also responsible for producing one of our most successful Christmas cards ever.

Margaret Macpherson
Margaret took on the Scottish Highland Treble in the summer of 2021. This included a 32km cycle, 13km canoe and a climb up Ben Nevis. Margaret raised money for us for a very personal reason, as Margaret’s family have received support from the Fishermen’s Mission in the past.

Michael Bould
Michael raised £3,100 for us through Coast & Castles – a fundraising cycle ride from Tynemouth to Edinburgh. This was an amazing event and we were delighted to meet Michael on his journey.

Duncan Lucas
Seafood industry custodian with a passion for mentoring and continuous improvements in seafood processing and aquaculture production. Duncan has been a strong ambassador for the charity for over 12 years, generating funds and incredible awareness.

Bridge Community Church, Bury St Edmunds
The congregation at West Road Church have been our friends and supporters for many years. Their prayers and gifts to us are invaluable, and each year they hold a Service of the Sea. Over the decades, the collection from this event is often given to us and we are deeply grateful for the support of the churches involved. Donating since 1996, we have received more than £4k in support.

Anna Haugh
As a celebrity chef, Masterchef judge and owner of Myrtle restaurant in Chelsea, Anna first became a friend of the Fishermen’s Mission in 2019 when filming Ready Steady Cook with colleagues from the Charity. Since then, Anna has donated recipes to the charity calendars and is a fantastic advocate for encouraging the country to eat more fish.

Brixham Fish Market Tours
The Brixham Fish Market Tour is led by Brixham Trawler Agents (BTA), who take up to 25 guests around the market. The tour is administered by Rockfish and guests enjoy a fish breakfast overlooking the fish quay afterwards.
