Campbells Prime Meats of Lathallan Scotland who operate in Meats, fish and deli produce have launched an all year round campaign in association with their Fresh Scottish Fish Boxes which are available to purchase online. www.campbellsmeat.com

For each Fresh Fish Box sold, £1.00 will be donated to the Fishermen’s Mission. Campbells source their fish from Scrabster and Peterhead, two prominent fishing towns in Scotland where the Fishermen’s Mission have a strong presence within the fishing communities providing welfare, pastoral and emergency services to the crews and families of the fishermen.

A spokesperson for Campbells said:

“Campbells are very happy to support the Fishermen’s Mission. We think the work they do to help the fishermen is invaluable.

It can be too easy to forget that fishermen risk their lives daily to bring us fresh fish for our plates. It is a hard life for them and their families. They must have access to support when they need it.

We hope that by donating £1.00 from every Scottish Fish Box we sell, our customers will become more aware of the dangerous work the fishermen do and the important support The Fishermen’s Mission provides.”

Dean Lawrence, Partnerships manager for the Fishermen’s Mission commented:

“It is always amazing to develop new partnerships and particularly rewarding when working with companies like Campbells who recognise the dangers of fishing, and are passionate about creating greater awareness of the fishing industry as we are at the Fishermen’s Mission.”
