SeaFit Programme Manager Carol Elliott is taking up the challenge to ‘do something daring on holiday’.
This October Carol will be trekking to the highest climbable summit, Imarivolanitra, reaching a height of 2658m. Accompanying Carol on her journey will be her mascot Albert, a hand crafted fishermen donated by supporter, Tina Stugeon. All funds raised through Carols expedition will be donated to the Fishermen’s Mission.
Carol joined the Fishermen’s Mission back in April to lead the GetSeaFit programme, an initiative rolled out by the Mission, to take health clinics and dental care direct to the fishermen at the quayside.
In preparation for the trip Carol has taken on a training regime to get her fitter and hopes to be able to keep people informed of her progress and little Alberts adventures along the way, hopefully avoiding the leeches, poisonous spiders and snakes that are native to Madagascar.
To support Carol on her incredible journey please donate to her Just Giving Page, by clicking the link below www.justgiving.com/fundraising/carol-elliott8 all proceeds will be donated to the Fishermen’s Mission, providing a lifeline of welfare and support to Fishermen and their families.
