A huge well done, and thank you, to fundraiser Kay Cummings who ran the Loch Ness Marathon in aid of
the Fishermen’s Mission!

Kay Said:

“I live in the town of Anstruther in Fife, Scotland. I chose the charity as both my husband and son are commercial fishermen, working on different boats. I was looking for a charity that gave a more holistic approach to helping its benefactors that was also linked to me ( in some way! ) and I saw a Fishermen’s Mission post by chance on Facebook from a local fisherman. On reading up on the work you do I decided on your charity. And by doing so was amazed at the work you do across all ages and generations. It is a very thin line between things going ok and falling apart in the fishing industry, in every way imaginable. To know that the Fish Mish are there to help has been reassuring to me, especially as my son will hopefully be in the industry for years to come.

And that is the story of me and the Fishermen’s Mission!”
