Christmas in Peterhead

Posted on Wednesday 6th January 2016

On Christmas Day in Peterhead we had 81 at our Christmas Day meal at the Centre. 80 fishermen (Filipino / Ghanaian / Sri Lankan) and 1 Filipino girlfriend who was up from Bury visiting.  It was a really good time – 3 Filipino lads prepared most of the food on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day morning.

We gave them all a small Christmas Stocking with toiletries / chocolate / calendar and a Gideon Testament.
A few skippers had been in contact leading up to Christmas and decided to leave their boats in Peterhead over the holiday so the a gentleman could be part of what was going on. One of the boats was up in Macduff at the boatyard and the skipper’s father went up on Christmas morning to take the Filipino gentleman down for the day.

Some great pictures of the day and to see lots of smiling faces.
