Claire McIntosh – FitMish139

Posted on Friday 31st January 2020

FitMish139 is a campaign for all our friends and family at the FishMish to take up a personal challenge, raise £139 in celebration of our 139 birthday next year and at the same time as making a change to your life, make a real difference to the lives of fishermen and their families. Come on – join in – everyone can have a go!

One of the first person to take up this challenge and raise money for the Fishermen’s Mission is Superintendent Claire McIntosh from Eyemouth. Here’s what she’s had to say about her challenge.

I am proud to be part of the FishMish family of staff, friends and supporters. I am taking up the FitMIsh139 challenge.

Running through Northumberland, and Scottish Borderlands, “The land of the far horizons” makes me health and happy. I want to raise funds to make someone else happy and make a real difference to the lives of our fishermen and their families.

Claire regularly updates her Just Giving page about her progress and how she’s getting on and here’s a great example of her commitment to the challenge.

Lunch-time will never be the same – great energiser – keeps me going through the what feels like the “graveyard shift” … Thank you to all who have pledged their support today! Every penny is much appreciated.
