KFE on a Mission
Creating a portion of perfect fish and chips is an art form. Very few people have the skills and experience to perfect our Nation’s favourite dish and produce award winning fish and chips.
But now the secrets of what makes a champion chippy are to be shared as a posse of the country’s top firers embark on a nationwide road trip. Peterborough based company KFE are taking their KFE School of Frying Excellence out on tour as they launch ‘KFE on a Mission.’ The great news is that the Fishermen’s Mission are the chosen charity for this ground breaking event.
From March 20th – 22nd eight of the best fish and chip artisans in the UK will travel around the country’s fish and chip shops exchanging their knowledge for donations to the Fishermen’s Mission. The top friers include the 2017 National Fish and Chip Shop of the year winner Craig Maw from Kingfishers in Plymouth.
KFE on a Mission culminates on Wednesday 22nd March at Colman’s in South Shields with a Charity dinner on behalf of the Fishermen’s Mission attended by all the road trip friers.
Paul Williams, MD at KFE, comments: “As a company, we’re big on training, but that’s not purely what this is about. It’s about having an award-winning frier in a shop to help in any way they can. Shops can extract what they want from these guys, whether that’s offering training, support or expertise. And along the way, we’re able to raise money for The Fishermen’s Mission, which is such a good cause. From an industry point of view, it’s the charity to support.”
Huge thanks to KFE who have supported the Fishermen’s Mission so brilliantly for many years.
KFE on a Mission will be a tremendous event and if you’re in anyway involved in a fish and chip shop why not take part in this unique opportunity to get the best friers in the country working in your shop!
