Santa raises over £1,000 for Fishermen’s Mission
The North Shields Fishermen’s Mission would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who visited Santa’s Grotto at the Beacon Centre over the Festive Period. Even at their busiest time of the year, Santa and his elves gave their all to raise over £1.000 for the Fishermen’s Mission.
The funds raised will help local and retired fishermen, as well as those affected by fishing tragedies and accidents in the North East.
The Beacon Centre have adopted the Fishermen’s Mission as their chosen charity leading North Shields Superintendent Peter Dade to comment,
“We are delighted to be working with the Beacon Centre.The success of Santa’s grotto shows both the importance of such links and of course the huge generosity of folk in North Shields.”
