Kenny MacNab, chairman of the Clyde Fishermen’s Association, was awarded an MBE for service to the fishing industry in July 2016.

A great supporter of the Fishermen’s Mission, Kenny has raised many thousands of pounds for the charity by undertaking sponsored events such as skydiving and walking the Great Wall of China.

Kenny recently visited Troon Fishermen’s Mission to talk about his next adventure – trekking in the Himalayas, no less, with an ascent of Kilimanjaro! Many months of training have gone into his preparation for the event but Kenny throws himself into it all with huge enthusiasm because, as he says, “The Mission does so much unseen good work.”

The trek, lasting for ten days in total, begins with Kenny leaving his home in Tarbert on 15th October. If you would like to support Kenny and the Fishermen’s Mission, you can do so www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Kenneth-mac-nab
