We know that working at sea can be physically and mentally demanding – and to make matters worse, you are often far from medical help. Something small can quickly turn into a much bigger and longer-term problem.
Thankfully, SeaFit® is here! Welsh fishermen can now access free and fast-tracked physiotherapy services, as well as free and confidential counselling (counselling is also available for immediate family members of fishermen).
With these services, fishermen can stay supported on land and at sea!
Fast-tracked physiotherapy for working fishermen
Welsh fishermen have a range of choices for accessing free physiotherapy through SeaFit®.
Online services with Response Occupational Health
The Response Group and Occupational Health have a network of 19 physiotherapy practices across the UK, so you should not have to travel far for assistance with any injury.
You can phone Response Occupational Health on 0800 999 7055 or email info@responseoh.com to arrange to speak to a Physiotherapist for advice and support.
If you need to see a Physiotherapist for a more thorough assessment and treatment, they will arrange for you to be seen locally at no additional cost to you.

Your health matters
Injuries left untreated can end careers. Stress left unsupported can affect families. Both can be prevented when help is this easy to access!
If you’re struggling with pain, recovering from an injury, or want advice on preventing problems in the future, we are here for you.
We run SeaFit® in partnership with the Seafarers Hospital Society. In Wales, our work is supported by WFA – CPC, who are in turn supported by the Welsh Government.
