As Christmas Day approaches, we want to thank everyone who works tirelessly along the coast and in our ports to support the people in our fishing communities. While our staff may be spending some time with their families and friends, their thoughts are never far from the fishermen and families they know so well. Our thoughts are also with those away from home—whether in hospital, at sea, or thousands of miles from loved ones.
For many, Christmas is a time of joy and celebration. But we know it can also be a difficult period for some. The Fishermen’s Mission is here to advise, support, and help wherever we can. Our staff are trained listeners and Mental Health First Aiders—you can turn to them in confidence for support.

2023 has been another busy year for the Fishermen’s Mission. We couldn’t do what we do without the generosity of our donors and supporters—thank you all.
It’s amazing to think that in just one week we’ll be looking back on Christmas 2023 and noticing the days starting to get longer. Before we know it, it will be 2024.
