We’re thrilled to share that our very own Paula Daly has been awarded the Merchant Navy Welfare Board’s Annual Award for Service to Seafarers’ Welfare.
Paula has been with the Fishermen’s Mission in Southwest Scotland for over thirteen years, supporting hundreds of fishing families and seafarers. Over her time here, she has had oversight of 246 clients, with direct responsibility for supporting 100 of them. Her dedication, compassion, and tireless commitment to the welfare of fishing communities have made a lasting impact.

This week, we are also saying goodbye as Paula retires. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has done, and she will be sorely missed. We wish her all the very best in this next chapter of her life.
Paula’s work is a reminder of the difference that caring, committed individuals make every day in supporting fishermen, their families, and the wider UK fishing community.
