The five-course set menu of mainly seafood dishes, will be cooked by a team of celebrity chefs from around the UK and further afield. This is the third Celebrity Chef Dinner and we’re hugely grateful that the family from Trevear Farm have again gifted us the use of their stunning space at Tregonce Barn. The venue is perfect, it has the best views looking down over the Camel Estuary and out to Padstow and Rock.
We are delighted that each year, all 100 tickets available sell out within a couple of months. It is a unique experience that we offer; talented chefs, incredible local produce, delicious wines, entertainment and a unique auction run by the very experienced auctioneer David Lay.
Let us introduce the chefs:
A cook and a chef, a collaboration between our two friends, Rose Cant, the social media star – Mum on Muddy Lane and the returning talent that is Eddy Rains, Head Chef at the Halfway House Inn. Well known and well respected, they will be serving up a delicious platter of canapes for when you arrive.
The talented, Jude Kereama, seen by many of us on the popular BBC series, the Great British Menu, will deliver a wonderful first course, Jude has two incredible restaurant businesses in Porthleven and leads on exciting projects such as the very popular Porthleven food Festival.
Much admired Stephane Delourme will be preparing the fish dish. Stephane has a rich culinary heritage and was, until recently, Rick Steins Group Executive Head Chef, now freelance, he’s in high demand.
Another widely respected chef, Ben Palmer will be creating the delicious mains course. Ben is another Great British Menu winner and has the wonderful restaurant in Looe, The Sardine Factory.
For the first time, to finish off the evening, we will have a competition winner from St Austell brewery to prepare dessert. Their chefs are launching a competition in February and the winning chef from the group will be presenting their sumptuous dessert especially for you.
Like so many who are volunteering for the event, all chefs are giving of their time and loaning their skill for free, to benefit the charity. We are so very grateful to them and to their businesses.
The event will be held at the converted barn near Treaver Farm, just outside of Padstow.
All proceeds from ticket sales and the auction will be going to support active, retired fishermen as well as their families. The ticket includes a five-course set menu of mainly seafood dishes, a welcome drink and entertainment.
