Fly the Flag and Take the Plunge: National Support Day 2025

Every day, the Fishermen’s Mission is changing lives for good in our fishing communities. It’s a beautiful team effort: you, our incredible supporters, join with us to make amazing things happen.

On 14 October 2025, we’re taking a day to celebrate everything we achieve together. Fishermen’s Mission flags will be flying proudly across UK fishing ports – and you can be part of it!

How You Can Get Involved

National Support Day is the perfect chance to show your support for fishing families. You could:

  • Host a coffee morning or bake sale
  • Organise a fish and chip supper with friends
  • Take on a sponsored challenge

Church supporters can also mark the occasion with prayer or by holding a special offering on a Sunday close to 14 October.

The Big Dip: Make a Splash for Fishing Families

This year we’re also making waves with an exciting new challenge – The Big Dip!

  1. Get to a beach, get your cossie on, and take a BIG DIP in the sea!
  2. Snap a photo of your dip and share it on social media with #DipPics2025 or #FishMishBigDip.

We’re also giving away two £250 vouchers for top swim brands – one from Wild Moose and one from Made of Water – to the owners of our favourite #DipPics !

No donation is required to take part – but every dip and donation helps UK fishing families. If you donate £10 or more, you can even receive a free special edition Big Dip wristband!

Ready to Dive In?

Let’s make 14 October 2025 a day to remember. Fly the flag, take the plunge, and help us support fishermen and their families through life’s storms.
