Keeping homelife together helps fishermen to fish safely

Fishing is a stressful job and this impacts the family too. Long antisocial hours, days away, and unpredictable income can make family life difficult.

Two women sit on a picnic blanket on a beach - one is wearing a red and blue Fishermen's Mission jacket, the other is wearing a bright yellow jacket and is hugging a young girl who is standing in front of her. In the background, two young boys are standing, playing with sticks.

We can provide a range of support for the partners and families of active and former fishermen. All of the SeaFit quayside health checks are accessible for families. We can source regular grants to support children up to the age of 19 as well as helping with those extras that school life brings – school trips, uniforms, and additional learning opportunities.
