The 2019 Nyetimber Dorset Seafood Festival proved to be a huge success once again. The 12th year celebration presented The Fishermen’s Mission with a cheque of £8,000 bringing the total amount raised to just over £80,000 since the festival began. The celebration was held at Weymouth Sailing Club and the cheque was presented to our Corporate Partnership Manager, Dean Lawrence along with Rose Farquhar, Nymetimber Partnerships Manager and Zoe Dearlsey, Nyetimber brand ambassador.

Rose Farquhar, Nyetimber Partnership Manager commented: “Nyetimber were delighted to be the title sponsor of the 12th annual Dorset Seafood Festival. It was our first year and we were really impressed with the quality of the stands, the stunning seafood and the beautiful harbour. Pairing British seafood with English sparkling wine is the perfect combination. It was wonderful to see such a great amount of money raised for The Fishermen’s Mission as well, a charity which works so hard to help fishermen and their families. The recipients of the ‘Sustainability Awards’ were very deserving and it is an important message to champion”.

Dean Lawrence, Corporate Partnerships Manager for the Fishermen’s Mission commented: “We are so grateful to the Nyetimber Dorset Seafood Festival for the continued support. Everyone works so hard to raise awareness of the charity and vital funds which enable us to help fishermen and their families. Fishing continues to be the most dangerous peacetime job in the world.”
